Founded by a former architect, Bolton Market 47 devises homewear products from remnants and fabrics that have been collected over decades. No treasure is wasted, and the emotion a fabric has been invested with can be felt in the final pieces. A homage to braids, ribbons, string and cords, and the people who have loved them. Just as in architecture, where a stone wall can sit cheek by jowl with an expanse of glass, here minimalist superimposition of materials gives textural and tonal variation.
